Lance Syrah Sicilia DOC - Cantine Paolini

The Lance Syrah from Cantine Paolini from the Italian wine-growing region of DOC Sicilia is a pure, full-bodied and aromatic red wine.

This wine presents itself with a dark ruby red color in the glass with bright red reflections. The full and complex bouquet exudes aromas of ripe sweet cherries, vanilla, tobacco and a hint of wild herbs. This Italian red wine seduces the palate with its fresh acidity, velvety tannins and elegance. The aromatic persistence and fine tannin structure accompany the pleasantly long finish.

Vinification of the Syrah Cantine Paolini Lance

The vines for this Syrah are rooted on calcareous pebbly soils in Sicily.

After being harvested by hand, the grapes are gently pressed and then undergo alcoholic fermentation with maceration on the skins for around 12 days. Following malolactic fermentation, this wine is aged for 6 months in large oak barrels and then in cement tanks. After bottling, this red wine matures for a further 6 to 8 months in the bottle.
