Vin Santo DOC 0,375 l 2011 - Castello Pomino
The Pomino Vinsanto DOC by Castello Pomino by Frescobaldi is intensely amber-coloured with red-gold reflections. The nose reveals a bouquet of sweet notes, from creamy caramel and honey to spiced cakes, with distinct hints of vanilla and nutmeg and a clear alcoholic note. Elegance and warmth surprise on the palate, with a soft taste and fresh, lively acidity that is still present even after years of storage. Long and persistent in the finish, with a wonderful aftertaste of roasted hazelnuts and nutshells.
Production of the Pomino Vinsanto of Castello Pomino by Frescobaldi
This classic Tuscan sweet wine from Castello Pomino is vinfied from the native Trebbiano, Malvasia toscana and San Colombano grapes grown in the Frescobaldi family vineyards. Malolactic fermentation takes place in wooden barrels during the long ageing process, the ageing period is 4 years.
Recommendations for the Pomino Vinsanto by Castello Pomino
The Vinsanto is a wine for contemplative occasions, for festivities, as the crowning touch at the end of a dinner, as a meditation wine that goes well with dried fruits and sweet pastries. It is recommended to serve it in large glasses.
