As you would expect from a wine, this Italian, despite all its dryness, delights with the finest balance. Excellent flavor does not necessarily require a lot of sugar. Balanced and complex, this crisp and light white wine presents itself on the palate. The finish of this white wine from the Lombardy wine-growing region ultimately impresses with a beautiful aftertaste. The finish is also accompanied by mineral facets from the limestone-dominated soils.

Vinification of Marchesi Di Montalto Riesling Monsaltum

The basis for the balanced Riesling Monsaltum from Italy is grapes of the Riesling variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Lombardy. Here the vines sink their roots deep into limestone soils. After hand-picking, the grapes are brought to the winery as quickly as possible. There they are sorted and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, the wine matures for several months on the fine lees before it is finally drawn off.
