More information about Rheingau Riesling Kabinett trocken - Robert Weil
With the Robert Weil Rheingau Riesling Kabinett, a first-class white wine finds its way into the glass. It offers a wonderfully brilliant, pale yellow color. After the first swirl, this white wine is characterized by a fascinating lightness that lets it dance nimbly in the glass. On the nose, this Robert Weil white wine reveals all kinds of mangoes, nectarines, guavas, mirabelles and apricots. As if that were not already impressive, additional aromas such as garrigue, lovage and green bell pepper join in thanks to maturation in stainless steel.
The Robert Weil Rheingau Riesling Kabinett presents itself to the wine drinker as delightfully dry. This white wine never appears coarse or austere, but rather round and supple. On the palate, this light-footed white wine is distinguished by an incredibly crisp texture. Thanks to its pronounced fruit acidity, the Rheingau Riesling Kabinett appears exceptionally fresh and lively on the palate. On the finish, this wine from the Rheingau wine-growing region ultimately delights with considerable length. Once again, nuances of Galia melon and peach appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes from the loess-dominated soils also join in.
Vinification of the Rheingau Riesling Kabinett by Robert Weil
This wine clearly focuses on a single grape variety, namely Riesling. Only the best grapes were used for this wonderfully elegant varietal wine from Robert Weil. In the Rheingau, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on loess soils. The Rheingau Riesling Kabinett is an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, as this German wine exudes an exceptional European charm that clearly underlines the success of wines from the Old World. The fact that the Riesling grapes thrive under the influence of a rather cool climate also has a considerable impact on the ripening of the grapes. This is expressed, among other things, in particularly long and evenly formed clusters and rather moderate alcohol content in the wine. When perfectly ripe, the grapes for the Rheingau Riesling Kabinett are harvested exclusively by hand, without the help of rough and less selective machinery. After harvesting, the grapes are quickly taken to the press house. There they are sorted and gently broken. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation is complete, the Rheingau Riesling Kabinett can continue to harmonize on the fine lees for a few months.
Food recommendation for the Rheingau Riesling Kabinett by Robert Weil
This German white wine is best enjoyed well chilled at 8–10°C. It is a perfect companion to lemon-chili chicken with bulgur, omelet with salmon and fennel, or red onions stuffed with couscous and apricots.
