More information

The Untertürkheim gypsum Riesling of the Aldinger winery comes from the monopoly location of gypsum in Untertürkheim, which is the sole property of the winery. In the glass comes the layered wine with light yellow color. It flatters the nose with ripe fruit notes of apple, peach and citric notes of fresh lime peel. Herbaceous nuances reminiscent of mint and lemon balm round off the bouquet of this top giant from Württemberg with a fine flint of flint

On the palate, Aldinger's Untertürkheimer gypsum Riesling first shows a classic Riesling type, which is complemented on the one hand by the aromas of the nose, on the other hand by fine minerality and a salty touch. The grippy fruit acid balances excellently with a very fine residual sweetness of just over 4 grams per liter. In the long finish again a lot of mineral grip.

Vinification of the Aldinger Untertürkheimer plaster Riesling

The layer Riesling from the Untertürkheimer gypsum is made up of 40% in the unit barrel, 60% in the stainless steel tank. The fermentation is spontaneous. This is followed by a yeast store until March of the following year. The grapes grow on the best gypsum-copper soil, which provides an expressive minerality.

Food recommendations for the Untertürkheimer gypsum Riesling by Aldinger

Enjoy this fine layered white wine from Württemberg best with strong fish or poultry dishes, Cocq au Vin or with salad with smoked trout.
