The Große Riesling Gewächs of Aldinger from the Untertürkheimer Gips comes from the filet piece Marienglas. Into the glass it comes with beautiful platinum yellow and white-gold reflections. The first nose shows lots of yellow stone fruit like mirabelle and apricot, complemented by tangerine and grapefruit. Hints of almond and delicate smoky nuances perfectly round out the impressive bouquet of this top Riesling from Württemberg.

On the palate, the Marienglas-Riesling GG is intense, concentrated, fantastically penetrating and wonderfully salty-mineral. A fine melting makes this top Riesling jump nimbly over the tongue and lead into a very long and complex finish. Great art and absolutely top rated.

Vinification of the Aldinger Untertürkheimer Gips Pinot Blanc

This Riesling from the Große Lage Marienglas Untertürkheimer Gips is fermented exclusively spontaneously and tumultuously (i.e. without cooling) in large wooden barrels, which gives the wine tremendous depth and complexity, but carries a high risk for the winemaker. If the wrong yeast strains prevail during fermentation, the wine will develop faulty tones.

After fermentation, the Untertürkheimer Gips Marienglas Riesling ages for a full 10 months on the full lees before being bottled and released to the market on September 1 of the following year.
