More information about Wachenheimer Riesling - Weingut Bürklin Wolf
The Wachenheimer Riesling from Weingut Bürklin Wolf in the Pfalz reveals a bright, pale yellow color in the wine glass. Poured into a white wine glass, this white wine from Germany presents wonderfully complex aromas of green apple, mango and peach, rounded off by further fruity nuances.
Weingut Bürklin Wolf’s Wachenheimer Riesling presents itself to the wine drinker pleasantly dry. This white wine never appears coarse or lean, but rather round and smooth. Balanced and multi-layered, this dense white wine shows on the palate. Thanks to its lively acidity, the Wachenheimer Riesling comes across as exceptionally fresh and vibrant on the palate. On the finish, this highly age-worthy wine from the Pfalz wine-growing region delights with considerable length. Hints of mango and peach appear once again. In the aftertaste, mineral notes from the sandstone- and clay-dominated soils join in.
Vinification of the Wachenheimer Riesling from Weingut Bürklin Wolf
This well-balanced white wine from Germany is vinified from the Riesling grape variety. In the Pfalz, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of clay, sand, loess and sandstone. Once perfect physiological ripeness is ensured, the grapes for the Wachenheimer Riesling are harvested exclusively by hand, without the use of strenuous and barely selective machines. After harvesting, the grapes are brought to the press house without delay. There they are sorted and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, the wine is aged for several months on the fine lees before it is finally bottled.
