Vinification of the Riserva Maccagnano Verdicchio Di Matelica from Gagliardi
This wine clearly focuses on a single grape variety, namely Verdicchio. Only first-class grape material was harvested for this exceptionally powerful varietal wine from Gagliardi. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in the Marche. Here the vines drive their roots deep into sandy soils. After the grape harvest, the grapes are brought to the winery immediately. There they are selected and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by aging for several months on the fine lees before the wine is finally bottled.
