More information about Rosso Ca del Merlo IGP - Giuseppe Quintarelli
With the Giuseppe Quintarelli Rosso Ca del Merlo, a first-class red wine flows into the swirling glass. It presents a wonderfully dense, ruby-red color. At the rim, this Italian red also shows a transition into garnet red. Swirling the glass reveals this red wine’s great density and richness, which becomes visible in the “church windows” on the glass wall. The first nose of the Rosso Ca del Merlo shows nuances of sour cherries and pomegranates. Joining the fruity components of the bouquet are black cherries.
Giuseppe Quintarelli Rosso Ca del Merlo presents itself to the connoisseur as wonderfully dry. This red wine never appears rough or austere, as one might expect from an icon wine in this segment. On the palate, the texture of this powerful red wine is wonderfully dense. On the finish, this highly age‑worthy wine from the Veneto wine region ultimately delights with exceptional length. Once again, hints of sour cherry and pomegranate appear.
Vinification of Giuseppe Quintarelli Rosso Ca del Merlo
The basis for the powerful Rosso Ca del Merlo from Italy is grapes from the varieties Sangiovese, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Corvina, Croatina, Nebbiolo, and Rondinella. The Rosso Ca del Merlo is an Old World wine through and through, as this Italian exudes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underscores the success of wines from the Old World.
