More information about Rüdesheimer Berg Rottland Riesling GG - Weingut Josef Leitz
In the glass, the Rüdesheimer Berg Rottland Riesling GG from Weingut Josef Leitz offers a bright light-yellow color. If you give it some air by swirling it in the glass, you can perceive an unparalleled balance in this white wine, as it does not appear watery, nor syrupy or liqueur-like on the glass walls. The first nose of the Rüdesheimer Berg Rottland Riesling GG presents nuances of mango and mirabelle plum. Joining the fruity components of the bouquet are notes from barrel aging, such as additional fruity-balsamic nuances. The Weingut Josef Leitz Rüdesheimer Berg Rottland Riesling GG presents itself wonderfully dry to the wine drinker. This white wine never seems coarse or austere, as one might expect from a wine in the icon wine segment. On the palate, the texture of this well-balanced white wine is wonderfully crisp. Thanks to its present fruit acidity, the Rüdesheimer Berg Rottland Riesling GG appears delightfully fresh and lively on the palate. The finish of this very age-worthy white wine from the Rheingau region, more precisely from Rüdesheim, finally convinces with a remarkable length. The aftertaste is also accompanied by mineral facets from the limestone and loess soils that dominate the vineyards.
Vinification of the Weingut Josef Leitz Rüdesheimer Berg Rottland Riesling GG
The balanced Rüdesheimer Berg Rottland Riesling GG from Germany is a single-varietal wine made from the Riesling grape variety. In the Rheingau, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on limestone and loess soils. The Rüdesheimer Berg Rottland Riesling GG is an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, as this German wine exudes an exceptional European charm that clearly underscores the success of wines from the Old World. An undeniable influence on the ripening of the harvest also comes from the fact that the Riesling grapes thrive under the influence of a rather cool climate. This is expressed, among other things, in particularly long and evenly ripening grapes and rather moderate alcohol content in the wine. After the harvest, the grapes are brought to the press house as quickly as possible. There they are selected and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in large wooden casks at controlled temperatures. After the end of fermentation, the elegant Rüdesheimer Berg Rottland Riesling GG is matured for a few more months in oak barrels.Food recommendation for the Rüdesheimer Berg Rottland Riesling GG from Weingut Josef Leitz
