Terre di Tufi Toscana IGT 2018 - Teruzzi

The Terre di Tufi Toscana from Teruzzi reflects the passion for innovation and high quality in harmony with the tradition of Tuscan white wines. Teruzzi combined autochthonous grape varieties with international grape varieties and were thus the creators of the first "White Supertuscan".

The elegant, charming Tuscan white wine Terre di Tufi shines brilliant, intense straw-yellow in the glass. The nose reveals an intense, rich bouquet with notes of quince, apple, complex and persistent, with a pleasant wood note in the background. On the palate, the Terre di Tufi shows its taste potential. Strong body, soft, full-bodied, distinct character without appearing aggressive, with a long-lasting, persistent aftertaste of delicate roasting aromas.

Vinification of the Teruzzi Terre dei Tufi

The wine is made from carefully selected grapes from Vernaccia di San Gimignano, Chardonnay and Sauvignon, which grow on the vineyards of San Gimignano, the town of a thousand towers, in the heart of Tuscany. After manual harvesting, the grapes are gently pressed and fermented at a controlled temperature with selected yeasts in stainless steel tanks. The wine is then matured in barrqies for about 4 to 5 months, 30% of which are new barrels and the rest in the second use. This gives Terre di Tufi its soft, supple body and harmonious fullness.
