More information about Terre More Maremma Toscana DOC - Tenuta dell'Ammiraglia

Presented in a glass, the Terre More Maremma Toscana from the house of Tenuta dell'Ammiraglia displays a bright purple-red color. Poured into a Bordeaux glass, this Old World red wine offers wonderfully expressive aromas of blackcurrant, shadow cherry, blueberry, and mulberry, complemented by oriental spices, cinnamon, and gingerbread spice, contributed by aging in wooden barrels.

This wine impresses with its elegantly dry flavor profile. It was bottled with exceptionally low residual sugar. This is a genuine quality wine, clearly distinguished from simpler qualities, and thus, this Italian wine naturally delights with fine balance despite its dryness. Excellent taste does not necessarily require sugar. The finish of this well-aged red wine from the Tuscany wine region, specifically from Maremma Toscana DOC, ultimately impresses with an extraordinary aftertaste.

Vinification of Tenuta dell'Ammiraglia Terre More Maremma Toscana

The starting point for the first-class and wonderfully balanced Terre More Maremma Toscana cuvée from Tenuta dell'Ammiraglia includes Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Syrah grapes. When optimal ripeness is reached, the grapes for Terre More Maremma Toscana are harvested exclusively by hand, without the aid of rough and less selective harvesters. After hand harvesting, the grapes are quickly transferred to the press house. Here, they are sorted and gently crushed. The fermentation follows in small wooden barrels at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, the Terre More Maremma Toscana is aged for an additional 12 months in oak barrels made from oak wood.
