More information about Director's Reserve White - Tokara
Tokara's Director's Reserve White is a fascinating white wine blend of Sauvignon Blanc (71%) and Semillon (29%).
In the glass, this South African white wine shows a radiant light yellow with golden reflections. The bouquet is marked by complex aromas: noble plum (Reineclaude) also meets passion fruit with notes of toasted almonds. The palate is indulged by a potpourri of ripe, summer fruits. The character is wonderfully fresh as well as clear and is perfectly rounded off by the wood aging.
Vinification of Tokara Director's Reserve White
The grapes for this wine are hand-picked at optimal ripeness and immediately brought to the winery. There, the must is first fermented in stainless steel tanks. Then this white wine is aged sur lie (on the fine lees). For a total of 9 months, this wine is aged in French oak barriques (of which 30% are new).
