In the Palatinate, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on loam and sandstone soils. The Ungstein Nussriegel Riesling is a thoroughbred Old World wine, as this German wine exudes an exceptional European charm that clearly underscores the success of wines from the Old World. The grapes for this German white wine are harvested exclusively by hand once optimal ripeness has been ensured. After harvesting, the grapes are brought to the winery immediately. There they are sorted and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks and large wooden casks at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by maturation for several months in oak barrels.
