More information about Vin Santo Di Gambellara 0,375 l - Vignato Virgilio
The elegant Vin Santo Di Gambellara from the house of Vignato Virgilio flows into the glass with a bright platinum yellow. This single-varietal Italian wine presents wonderfully expressive notes of peach, lemon, mirabelle plum and apple in the glass. These are joined by hints of chamomile.
This wine tastes pleasantly dry. It was bottled with exceptionally little residual sugar. This is a true quality wine that clearly stands out from simpler qualities and thus, despite all its dryness, this Italian delights with the finest balance. Excellent flavor does not necessarily require sugar. On the palate, this well-balanced white wine is characterized by an incredibly fleshy and crisp texture. On the finish, this white wine from the Veneto wine-growing region finally captivates with a beautiful length. Once again, nuances of fig and dried apricot appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes from the volcanic stone–dominated soils are added.
Vinification of the Vin Santo Di Gambellara from Vignato Virgilio
The balanced Vin Santo Di Gambellara from Italy is a varietal wine, vinified from the Garganega grape variety. In Veneto, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on volcanic stone soils. After harvesting, the grapes are brought quickly to the press house. There they are sorted and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, the wine is aged for several months on the fine lees before it is finally drawn off.
