The Pinot Blanc Alto Adige from the wine-growing region of Trentino-Alto Adige offers itself in the glass in bright light yellow. The nose of this Cantina Terlan white wine shows all sorts of pomelo, lemons, gooseberries, nashi pear and quince. As if that wasn't already impressive, the stainless steel aging adds Mediterranean herbs, juniper and green peppers.
The Cantina Terlan Weissburgunder Alto Adige impresses with its elegantly dry taste. It was bottled with only 1.9 grams of residual sugar. This is a real quality wine, which clearly stands out from simpler qualities and so this Italian naturally enchants with the finest balance despite all dryness. Taste does not necessarily need sugar. On the palate, the texture of this balanced white wine is wonderfully crisp. Due to the moderate fruit acidity, the Alto Adige Pinot Blanc flatters the palate with a pleasing feel, without at the same time lacking in juicy liveliness. The finish of this youthful white wine from the wine-growing region of Trentino-Alto Adige, more precisely from Alto Adige /South Tyrol DOC, finally thrills with considerable reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral notes of the soils dominated by sandstone and sand.
Vinification of the Alto Adige Pinot Blanc from Cantina Terlan
The balanced Pinot Blanc Alto Adige from Italy is a single-varietal wine, pressed from the Pinot Blanc grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Trentino-Alto Adige. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of sand and sandstone. The grapes for this white wine from Italy, after ensuring optimal ripeness, are harvested exclusively by hand. After the harvest, the grapes quickly reach the winery. Here they are selected and carefully ground. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.
