More information about Amarone Valpolicella Classico - Villa Spinosa

The Amarone Valpolicella Classico from Villa Spinosa presents a dense ruby red color in the glass. This Italian cuvée reveals beautifully noble notes of blueberries, blackberries, sour cherry, and currants. Additionally, hints of tobacco and vanilla emerge.

This Italian wine tastes pleasantly dry. It was bottled with an exceptionally low residual sugar content. As one might expect from a wine, this Italian delight, despite its dryness, captivates with a fine balance. Taste doesn't necessarily require sugar. On the palate, the texture of this powerful red wine is wonderfully velvety. The finish of this wine from the Veneto wine region is distinguished by an extraordinary aftertaste. The aftertaste is further complemented by mineral facets from the limestone-dominated soils.

Vinification of Villa Spinosa Amarone Valpolicella Classico

The robust Amarone Valpolicella Classico from Italy is a cuvée made from the grape varieties Corvina, Corvinone, and Rondinella. In Veneto, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on limestone soils. The grapes for this Italian red wine are carefully handpicked once perfectly ripe. After harvest, the grapes are quickly taken to the winery. Here, they are sorted and gently crushed. Next comes fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. The fermentation is followed by several months of aging on fine lees before the wine is finally bottled.

Food pairing recommendations for Villa Spinosa Amarone Valpolicella Classico

This Italian wine should be enjoyed best at a temperature of 15 - 18°C. It pairs perfectly as an accompanying wine with veal sirloin with beans and tomatoes, lamb stew with chickpeas and dried figs, or goose breast with ginger red cabbage and marjoram.
