The first nose of the Carmenère San Leonardo reveals notes of blackberries and plums. In addition to the fruity elements of the bouquet, more fruity-balsamic nuances appear.

Vinification of San Leonardo Carmenère San Leonardo

This red wine clearly focuses on a single grape variety, namely Carmenère. Only immaculate grape material was harvested for this exceptionally balanced varietal wine from San Leonardo. After hand-picking, the grapes are brought to the winery immediately. There they are selected and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by maturation on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.
