More information about Cremosina Barbera d'Asti Superiore DOCG - Bersano

When swirling the wine glass, you can perceive a perfect balance in this red wine, as it is neither watery nor syrupy or liqueur-like on the walls of the glass. The aroma of this red wine from Piedmont is characterized by notes of various red and black berries and dark fruits such as sour cherries and plums. This dry red wine from Bersano is for wine lovers who cannot drink their wine dry enough. The Cremosina Barbera d'Asti Superiore comes very close to this, as it was vinified with just 1 gram of residual sugar. Thanks to its balanced fruit acidity, the Cremosina Barbera d'Asti Superiore flatters the palate with a soft sensation without lacking any juicy liveliness. The finish of this youthful red wine from the Piedmont wine-growing region is impressive with a remarkable aftertaste.

Vinification of the Bersano Cremosina Barbera d'Asti Superiore

The well-balanced Cremosina Barbera d'Asti Superiore from Italy is a single-varietal wine made from the Barbera grape variety. The Cremosina Barbera d'Asti Superiore is an Old World wine through and through, as this Italian wine exudes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underlines the success of wines from the Old World. The ripening of the grapes for this Barbera wine is influenced to a considerable extent by the climate of the growing region. In Piedmont, the grapes thrive in a rather cool climate, which is reflected in particularly long and even grapes and a rather moderate must weight. The grapes for the Cremosina Barbera d'Asti Superiore are harvested exclusively by hand at optimum ripeness, without the help of coarse and less selective grape harvesters. After harvesting, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in small oak barrels at controlled temperatures. At the end of fermentation, the Cremosina Barbera d'Asti Superiore is matured in Slavonian oak barrels for a further 12 months.
