The light-footed Cuvée Rosé Brut from Weingut Hammel flows into the glass with a brilliant light red. The mousse of this sparkling wine shines in the glass. The first nose of the Cuvée Rosé Brut presents nuances of strawberry jam and raspberries. Red currant joins the fruity aspects of the bouquet.
Light-footed and multi-faceted, this light and crisp sparkling wine presents itself on the palate. Thanks to its striking acidity, the Cuvée Rosé Brut appears impressively fresh and lively on the palate. On the finish, this well-ageing wine from the wine-growing region of the Palatinate delights with good length. Again, hints of strawberry jam and raspberry appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes from the clay- and sandstone-dominated soils join in.
Vinification of Weingut Hammel Cuvée Rosé Brut
The basis for the elegant Cuvée Rosé Brut from the Palatinate is grapes from the Chardonnay and Saint Laurent varieties. In the Pfalz, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on sandstone and clay soils. After harvesting, the grapes are brought to the press house as quickly as possible. There they are selected and gently crushed. Fermentation of the base wines then follows. After blending the cuvée, further ageing takes place based on the Méthode Traditionelle, classic bottle fermentation. Afterwards, Weingut Hammel Cuvée Rosé Brut matures in the bottle for several months and is then disgorged.
