More information about Dagromis di Gaja - Gaja
The Dagromis di Gaja from the hand of Gaja in Piedmont reveals a dense, ruby-red color in the glass. When the glass is tilted slightly, a transition of the wine’s color toward garnet can be seen at the rim. Swirling the glass, this red wine displays high viscosity, which shows in the church windows on the glass wall. In the glass, this red wine from Gaja presents aromas of plums and violets, complemented by almond, licorice, and ginger. The Gaja Dagromis di Gaja presents itself to the wine drinker as wonderfully dry. This red wine never comes across as rough or austere, as one might expect in the icon-wine segment. The finish of this matured red wine from the Piedmont region ultimately delights with a beautiful aftertaste.
Vinification of Gaja Dagromis di Gaja
This powerful red wine from Italy is vinified from the Nebbiolo grape variety. After the grape harvest, the grapes are brought to the press house as quickly as possible. There they are sorted and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation is complete, the Dagromis di Gaja can continue to harmonize for several months on the fine lees.
