More information about Grauburgunder trocken 1,0 l - Winzergenossenschaft Jechtingen

The Grauburgunder from the Winzergenossenschaft Jechtingen in Baden displays a luminous, copper-golden color in the wine glass. The bouquet of this white wine from Baden captivates with aromas of cherry blossom, Nashi pear, quince, and elderflower. Further exploring the aromatic profile, notes of walnut, roasted almond, and croquant emerge.

The Winzergenossenschaft Jechtingen Grauburgunder impresses with its elegantly dry flavor profile. It was bottled with 5.2 grams of residual sugar. As one would naturally expect from a wine in the upper price range, this German wine delights with exquisite balance despite its dryness. Aromatics do not necessarily require sugar. Thanks to its vibrant fruit acidity, Grauburgunder reveals a wonderfully fresh and lively palate. The youthfulness of this wine from the Baden wine region is ultimately reflected in a beautiful length on the finish. Once again, hints of cherry blossom and elderflower can be perceived.

Vinification of the Grauburgunder from Winzergenossenschaft Jechtingen

This wine clearly focuses on a single grape variety, namely Grauburgunder. Only impeccable grape material was used for this exceptionally balanced, single-varietal wine from Winzergenossenschaft Jechtingen. After manual harvesting, the grapes are immediately taken to the winery. There, they are sorted and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After the fermentation completes, the Grauburgunder continues to harmonize on the fine lees for several months.

Food pairing recommendation for Winzergenossenschaft Jechtingen Grauburgunder

This German white wine should be best enjoyed moderately chilled at 11 - 13°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine for leek soup, pumpkin casserole, or spaghetti with yogurt-mint pesto.
