More information about Klosterschoppen trocken 1,0 l - Kloster Pforta

With Kloster Pforta Klosterschoppen, a first-class white wine finds its way into the swirled glass. It offers a wonderfully brilliant, pale yellow color. With a little time in the glass, this Old World white wine presents wonderfully expressive aromas of grapefruit, quince, pomelo and lime, rounded off by sweet yeast bread, cinnamon and gingerbread spice.

Klosterschoppen from Kloster Pforta is a good choice for all wine lovers who prefer as little sweetness in wine as possible. At the same time, it never appears meager or austere, as one would naturally expect from a wine in the premium entry-level range. Thanks to its balanced acidity, Klosterschoppen caresses the palate with a velvety feel, without sacrificing juicy liveliness. On the finish, this white wine from the Saale-Unstrut wine-growing region delights with a lovely length. Once again, nuances of kumquat and nashi pear appear.

Vinification of Klosterschoppen from Kloster Pforta

The elegant Klosterschoppen from Germany is a cuvée made from the Müller-Thurgau, Riesling and Pinot Blanc grape varieties. After the harvest, the grapes are brought to the press house as quickly as possible. There they are sorted and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After the end of fermentation, Klosterschoppen can continue to harmonize on the fine lees for several months.

Food recommendation for Kloster Pforta Klosterschoppen

This white wine from Germany is best enjoyed moderately chilled at 11–13°C. It is a perfect companion to spaghetti with yogurt-mint pesto, leek tortilla or spinach gratin with almonds.
