More information about L’Isola Bianco - Hibiscus
The L’Isola Bianco from the wine region of Sicily presents itself in the glass in a luminous pale yellow. This Italian cuvée displays delightful noble notes of lemon, Mirabelle plum, pear, and apple at first glance. Additionally, hints of other fruits accompany these flavors.
On the palate, the L’Isola Bianco by Hibiscus opens pleasantly dry, full-bodied, and aromatic. This well-balanced white wine is characterized on the tongue by an extraordinarily silky texture. The finish impresses with considerable length, once again revealing hints of apricot and lemon. In the aftertaste, mineral notes from the flinty soils add a further dimension.
Vinification of the L’Isola Bianco by Hibiscus
This balanced white wine from Italy is made from the grape varieties Catarratto, Grillo, and Inzolia. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Sicily. Here, the vines root deeply into flinty soils. When perfectly ripe, the grapes for the L’Isola Bianco are harvested exclusively by hand without the aid of coarse or less selective harvesters. After harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the presshouse, where they are carefully sorted and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. The vinification is followed by several months of aging on the fine lees before the wine is finally bottled.
Food pairing recommendations for the L’Isola Bianco by Hibiscus
