More information about Merlot Laurentius - Salizzoni
The elegant Merlot Laurentius from the house of Salizzoni flows into the glass with a bright purplish red. The initial nose of the Merlot Laurentius reveals nuances of blackberry, sour cherry, blueberry and currant. Blackcurrant joins the fruity aspects of the bouquet.
The Salizzoni Merlot Laurentius presents itself to wine lovers as wonderfully dry. This red wine never appears coarse or lean, as one might expect from a wine. Balanced and multi-faceted, this velvety, silky and dense red wine unfolds on the palate. The finish of this red wine from the Trentino-Alto Adige wine-growing region, more precisely from Trentino DOC, ultimately delights with a beautiful aftertaste. The finish is also accompanied by mineral notes from the soils dominated by gravel and sand.
Vinification of the Merlot Laurentius from Salizzoni
The well-balanced Merlot Laurentius from Italy is a varietal wine made from the Merlot grape variety. In Trentino-Alto Adige, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on sandy and gravelly soils. After the harvest, the grapes are quickly brought to the winery. There they are sorted and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation is complete, the Merlot Laurentius is allowed to further harmonize on the fine lees for 12 months.
