In the glass, Victor Trentino Superiore Rosso from Salizzoni presents a dense purple-red color. The nose of this red wine from Trentino-Alto Adige delights with hints of plum, currant, blackberry and blueberry. Following the aromatics further, black cherry, vanilla and blackcurrant join in.
Salizzoni Victor Trentino Superiore Rosso tastes pleasantly dry. It was bottled with exceptionally little residual sugar. As you would expect from a wine, this Italian, despite all its dryness, enchants with the finest balance. Aroma does not necessarily require residual sugar. Powerful and multi-layered, this velvety, fleshy and dense red wine presents itself on the palate. The finish of this red wine from the Trentino-Alto Adige wine-growing region, more precisely from Trentino DOC, finally convinces with a beautiful aftertaste. The finish is also accompanied by mineral facets from the sand- and gravel-dominated soils.
Vinification of Salizzoni Victor Trentino Superiore Rosso
The powerful Victor Trentino Superiore Rosso from Italy is a cuvée, vinified from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Lagrein and Merlot. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Trentino-Alto Adige. Here the vines sink their roots deep into soils of sand and gravel. After the harvest, the grapes are brought to the winery immediately. There they are sorted and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks and small wooden barrels at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by 18 months of aging in oak barriques.
Food recommendation for Salizzoni Victor Trentino Superiore Rosso
This Italian is best enjoyed tempered at 15 - 18°C. It is perfectly suited as a companion to boeuf bourguignon, ossobuco or vegetable couscous with beef meatballs.
