The Merlot IGT by Di Lenardo appears in the glass in an intense ruby red with violet reflections. It unfolds its complex bouquet with the aromas of pureed forest berries, such as raspberries and strawberries, which combine with spicy notes of herbs and spruce needles.
This red wine from Friuli lets the palate recognize the already perceived plant notes when it is young. With age, this round Merlot develops an even richer bouquet.
Vinification for the Merlot IGT by Di Lenardo
The grapes for this Merlot were handpicked, destemmed and cold-macerated for about 10 days. After pressing, the wine was fed to malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks.
