More information about No Name Nebbiolo DOC - Borgogno

The No Name Nebbiolo from Borgogno is a top-class, harmonious and pure red wine from the Italian wine-growing region of DOC Langhe.

This wine comes into the glass in a rich garnet red with orange highlights. The aromatic bouquet impresses the nose with aromas of juicy cherries, delicate floral notes of rose petals and subtle hints of leather and aniseed. On the palate, this Italian red wine has a wonderful harmony between velvety, dense tannins and subtle fruit fullness with spicy nuances. The body is very full-bodied and generous. The finish has a wonderful, pleasant length.

Vinification of the Borgogno Nebbiolo No Name

The grapes for this red wine grow in the famous Barolo vineyards: Cannubi, Liste and Fossati.

The grapes are first fermented traditionally in stainless steel tanks in the Giacomo Borgogno & Figli wine cellar. This is followed by a long maceration of around 2 weeks. Once the fermentation process is complete, this red wine matures for at least 3 years in large wooden barrels made from Slavonian oak. Finally, this wine rounds off harmoniously in the bottle for at least 2 years.

Wine recommendation for the No Name Borgogno Nebbiolo

Enjoy this dry red wine from Italy with all kinds of variations of red meat - whether roasted, grilled, boiled or on a spit, or with fine game goulash with red cabbage and dumplings.
