More information about San Silvestro Barolo Patres DOCG - Sartirano

The barrel-aged San Silvestro Barolo Patres from the wine-growing region of Piedmont is a dense ruby red in the glass. This Italian red also has a garnet red color. After the first swirl, this red wine reveals a high viscosity, which can be seen in clear stained glass windows at the edge of the glass. The nose of this red wine from Piedmont delights with nuances of morello cherry, mulberry, plum and damson. If we trace the aromas further, cinnamon, dark chocolate and black tea are added.

On the palate, the San Silvestro Barolo Patres from Sartirano opens wonderfully dry, full-bodied and aromatic. On the finish, this wine from the Piedmont wine-growing region, which ages well, finally impresses with its beautiful length. Once again, there are hints of plum and mulberry.

Vinification of the San Silvestro Barolo Patres from Sartirano

The basis for the powerful San Silvestro Barolo Patres from Piedmont are grapes from the Nebbiolo grape variety. San Silvestro Barolo Patres is an Old World wine through and through, as this Italian wine exudes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underlines the success of wines from the Old World. After the grape harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. This is followed by fermentation in small wooden vats at controlled temperatures. At the end of fermentation, the San Silvestro Barolo Patres is matured for a few months in oak barrels.
