More information about Spätburgunder trocken - Dr. Wehrheim

This light-bodied Pinot Noir from Dr. Wehrheim enters the glass with a brilliant light red color. In the glass, this red wine from Dr. Wehrheim presents aromas of plums, black cherries, black currants, blueberries and mulberries, complemented by cocoa bean, gingerbread spice and cigar box. The Dr. Wehrheim Pinot Noir presents itself to the wine connoisseur wonderfully dry. This red wine is never coarse or meager, as one might expect from a wine in the high quality wine range. Due to its lively fruit acidity, the Pinot Noir is fantastically fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this well storable red from the wine-growing region of Palatinate finally inspires with beautiful length. Once again, hints of black currant and plum show through.

Vinification of the Dr. Wehrheim Pinot Noir

The elegant Pinot Noir from Germany is a single-varietal wine, made from the Pinot Noir grape variety. At the time of optimal ripeness, the grapes for the Pinot Noir are harvested exclusively by hand without the help of coarse and less selective grape harvesters. After the harvest, the grapes are quickly taken to the pressing house. Here they are sorted and carefully ground. Subsequently, fermentation takes place in the at controlled temperatures.

Food recommendation for Dr. Wehrheim Pinot Noir

This German red wine is best enjoyed well chilled at 15 - 18 °C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to goose breast with ginger red cabbage and marjoram, vegetable couscous with beef meatballs or ossobuco.
