More information about Steingebiss Sauvignon Blanc - Oliver Zeter

The barrel-aged Steingebiss Sauvignon Blanc from the wine-growing region of Palatinate presents itself in the glass in brilliantly shimmering light yellow. To the nose, this Oliver Zeter white wine presents all sorts of quince, apples, grapefruits, lemongrass and lime. As if that wasn't impressive enough, the aging in large wooden barrels adds more aromas like sun-warmed rocks and forest floor.

This dry white wine from Oliver Zeter is just right for wine lovers who prefer to drink bone dry. The Steingebiss Sauvignon Blanc already comes very close to this, it was pressed with just 1.7 grams of residual sugar. Due to its lively fruit acidity, the Steingebiss Sauvignon Blanc presents itself impressively fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this youthful white from the wine-growing region of Palatinate finally inspires with beautiful length. There are again hints of orange and pink grapefruit. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the clay-dominated soils join in.

Vinification of the Steingebiss Sauvignon Blanc by Oliver Zeter

The basis for the elegant Steingebiss Sauvignon Blanc from the Palatinate are grapes from the grape variety Sauvignon Blanc. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in the Palatinate. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of clay. After harvesting, the grapes immediately reach the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Fermentation follows in large wood at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging for several months in oak barrels.

Food recommendation for the Steingebiss Sauvignon Blanc by Oliver Zeter
