The powerful Toscana Rosso from the house of Tenuta Casenuove flows into the glass with a dense purple-red color. This Italian cuvée reveals wonderfully complex notes of blueberry, sour cherry, plum, and blackberry in the glass. These are joined by hints of minerals and phenolics.
This wine delights with its straightforward dry flavor profile. It was bottled with exceptionally little residual sugar. As you would expect from a wine, this Italian naturally enchants—despite all its dryness—with the finest balance. Excellent flavor does not necessarily require a lot of residual sugar. On the palate, the texture of this powerful red wine presents itself as wonderfully velvety, fleshy, and dense. On the finish, this wine from the Tuscany wine-growing region finally impresses with a lovely length. Once again, nuances of acacia and raspberry become apparent.
Vinification of Tenuta Casenuove Toscana Rosso
The basis for the powerful Toscana Rosso from Italy is grapes from the Sangiovese, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot varieties. After the harvest, the grapes are immediately brought to the press house. There they are sorted and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in concrete and large wooden vats at controlled temperatures. After fermentation is complete, the powerful Toscana Rosso is aged for another 12 months in oak barriques.

This Italian red wine is best enjoyed at a temperature of 15–18°C. It pairs perfectly as an accompaniment to boiled veal topside with beans and tomatoes, ossobuco, or stuffed bell peppers.
