At the rims there is also a color transition into garnet red. When the glass is swirled, this red wine reveals a high density and richness, which shows in pronounced “church windows” on the glass edge. On the nose, this Prunotto red wine offers all kinds of pomegranate, roses and raspberries. As if that were not already impressive, further aromas such as clove are added thanks to maturation in small wooden barrels.

This powerful red wine from Italy is vinified from the Nebbiolo grape variety. The Vigna Colonnello Barolo Riserva Bussia is an Old World wine through and through, as this Italian breathes an exceptional European charm that clearly underscores the success of wines from the Old World. After the grape harvest, the grapes are brought to the press house as quickly as possible. There they are selected and carefully crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks and small wooden barrels at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, the wine is aged for several months on the fine lees before it is finally bottled.
