More information about Weißburgunder trocken - St. Antony
In the glass, St. Antony's organically produced Pinot Blanc presents a brilliantly shimmering pale yellow color. This single-varietal German wine flatters with wonderfully expressive notes of gallia melon, guava, lime and physalis. This is joined by hints of forest floor and sun-warmed rock.
This wine delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with only 7.5 grams of residual sugar. This is a real quality wine, which clearly stands out from simpler qualities and so this German wine naturally enchants with the finest balance despite all dryness. Taste does not necessarily need residual sugar. On the tongue, this light-footed white wine is characterized by an incredibly crisp texture. Due to the balanced fruit acidity, the Pinot Blanc flatters the palate with a pleasing feel, without lacking freshness at the same time. In the finish, this white from the wine-growing region of Rheinhessen finally inspires with good length. Once again, hints of star fruit and pomelo show through.
Vinification of the St. Antony Pinot Blanc
This white wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, and that is Pinot Blanc. Only impeccable grape material was brought in for this wonderfully elegant single varietal wine from St. Antony. Once perfect physiological ripeness is assured, the grapes for the Pinot Blanc are harvested exclusively by hand without the aid of coarse and less selective grape harvesters. After harvesting, the grapes are quickly transferred to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally drawn into bottles.
