The Vadiaperti-Traerte Aglianico is delightfully dry for the wine connoisseur. This red wine is never coarse or austere, but round and smooth. On the palate, the texture of this well-balanced red wine feels wonderfully light. The finish impresses with exceptional length, again showing hints of peach and green apple. In the aftertaste, mineral notes from the clay-dominated soils add to the complexity.

Vinification of the Vadiaperti-Traerte Aglianico

The balanced Aglianico from Italy is a varietal wine made from the Aglianico grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Campania, with vines deeply rooted in clay soils. The grapes for this Italian red wine are harvested exclusively by hand at the peak of ripeness. After the hand harvest, the grapes are quickly taken to the press house, where they are sorted and gently broken open. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. This is followed by a few months of aging on fine lees before the wine is finally bottled.
