More information about Alteni di Brassica Langhe DOC Sauvignon Blanc - Gaja
The elegant Alteni di Brassica Langhe Sauvignon Blanc from Gaja shimmers in the glass with a bright light yellow color. After the first swirl, you can perceive a first-class balance in this white wine, as it is neither watery nor syrupy or liqueur-like on the walls of the glass. In the glass, this white wine from Gaja presents aromas of apples, physalis, mangoes, quinces and guavas, complemented by cinnamon, cocoa bean and gingerbread spice. The Alteni di Brassica Langhe Sauvignon Blanc from Gaja is perfect for all wine lovers who like it dry. However, it is never austere or brittle, as you would naturally expect from an iconic wine segment. The texture of this balanced white wine is wonderfully dense on the palate. The finish of this white wine from the wine-growing region of Piedmont ultimately delights with good persistence. The finish is also accompanied by mineral facets from the limestone and clay-dominated soils.
Vinification of the Gaja Alteni di Brassica Langhe Sauvignon Blanc
This white wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, namely Sauvignon Blanc. Only the best grapes were used for this wonderfully balanced single-varietal wine from Gaja. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Piedmont. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into clay and limestone soils. After the grape harvest, the grapes are quickly taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place at controlled temperatures. The fermentation is followed by maturation.
