The grapes for this red wine from Italy are harvested exclusively by hand once they are perfectly ripe. After hand-picking, the grapes are immediately brought to the winery. There they are selected and carefully crushed. This is followed by fermentation in small wooden barrels at controlled temperatures. After the end of fermentation, the powerful Ampio delle Mortelle Toscana is aged for another 30 months in French oak barriques. The barrel aging is followed by a long bottle maturation, which makes this red wine even more complex.
