More information about Anrar Pinot Noir Riserva Alto Adige DOC - Cantina Andrian

The powerful Anrar Pinot Noir Riserva Alto Adige from Cantina Andrian shines into the glass with a dense light red color. When swirling the wine glass, this red wine reveals a high density and richness, which shows in pronounced church windows on the glass rim. The first nose of the Anrar Pinot Noir Riserva Alto Adige reveals notes of raspberries, blackcurrants and blackberries. The fruity nuances of the bouquet are joined by barrel-aging notes such as black tea and smoky tones.

The Cantina Andrian Anrar Pinot Noir Riserva Alto Adige presents itself to the connoisseur as pleasantly dry. This red wine never appears rough or lean, as one might expect in the icon-wine segment. On the palate, this powerful red wine is characterized by an exceptionally velvety texture. Thanks to the balanced acidity, the Anrar Pinot Noir Riserva Alto Adige caresses the palate with a soft mouthfeel, without sacrificing juicy liveliness at the same time. On the finish, this youthful red wine from the Trentino-Alto Adige wine region impresses with remarkable length. Again, hints of sour cherry and blackcurrant appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes from the clay- and limestone-dominated soils join in.

Vinification of Cantina Andrian Anrar Pinot Noir Riserva Alto Adige

This red wine clearly focuses on a single grape variety, namely Pinot Noir. For this exceptionally powerful varietal wine from Cantina Andrian, only first-class grape material was harvested. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Trentino-Alto Adige. Here, the vines sink their roots deep into soils of clay and limestone. Naturally, the Anrar Pinot Noir Riserva Alto Adige is influenced by more than just the Alto Adige / Südtirol DOC terroir. This Italian can be described, in the very best sense of the word, as an Old World wine that presents itself in an exceptionally impressive manner. After harvest, the grapes are swiftly brought to the winery. There they are selected and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in small wooden barrels at controlled temperatures. After fermentation is complete, the powerful Anrar Pinot Noir Riserva Alto Adige is aged for another 6 months in oak barriques.

Food recommendation for Cantina Andrian Anrar Pinot Noir Riserva Alto Adige

Enjoy this Italian red wine ideally at a temperature of 15 - 18°C as an accompaniment to spaghetti with caper-tomato sauce, chickpea curry or spinach gratin with almonds.
