This varietal Italian wine flatters the nose in the glass with wonderfully expressive notes of plums, black cherries, blueberries and blackberries. Added to this are nuances of toasted barrique, oak wood and cigar box.

Vinification of Jura Pinot Noir Riserva from Nals Margreid
The powerful Jura Pinot Noir Riserva from Italy is a single-varietal wine made from the Pinot Noir grape. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Trentino-Alto Adige. Here, the vines sink their roots deep into soils of sedimentary and weathered rock. Jura Pinot Noir Riserva is clearly shaped by the climatic and stylistic factors of Alto Adige / South Tyrol DOC. In the truest sense, this Italian can be described as an Old World wine that presents itself in an exceptionally impressive manner. The grapes for this red wine from Italy are harvested exclusively by hand once they are perfectly ripe. After harvesting, the grapes are quickly brought to the press house. Here they are selected and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in large oak at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, Jura Pinot Noir Riserva is aged for another 12 months in barriques and 900 l oak tonneaux.
