More information about Auxerrois Nussdorf trocken - Emil Bauer

The elegant Auxerrois Nussdorf Emil Bauer glides into the glass with a bright light yellow color. This single varietal German wine reveals wonderfully expressive notes of apricots, peaches, mirabelles and vineyard peach in the glass. This is joined by hints of green peppers, lovage and garrigue.

This wine delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It has been bottled with exceptionally little residual sugar. This is a real quality wine, which clearly stands out from simpler qualities and so this German wine naturally enchants with the finest balance despite all dryness. Excellent taste does not necessarily require residual sugar. On the palate, the texture of this balanced white wine is wonderfully creamy. In the finish, this white wine from the wine-growing region of Palatinate finally inspires with considerable length. Once again, hints of peach and nectarine appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the limestone-dominated soils join in.

Vinification of the Emil Bauer Auxerrois Nussdorf

The basis for the balanced Auxerrois Nussdorf from the Palatinate is grapes from the Auxerrois grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in the Palatinate. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of limestone. After harvesting, the grapes are immediately taken to the winery. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in large wood at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by aging for several months in double oak barrels.

Food recommendation for Emil Bauer Auxerrois Nussdorf

This white wine from Germany is best enjoyed well chilled at 8 - 10°C. It is perfect as an accompaniment to coconut-lime fish curry, asparagus salad with quinoa or omelet with salmon and fennel.
