Vinification of the Avantgarde Sauvignon Blanc from Bergdolt-Reif & Nett
The basis for the powerful Avantgarde Sauvignon Blanc from Germany is grapes of the Sauvignon Blanc variety. In the Palatinate, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on clay and loess soils. After the grape harvest, the grapes are quickly brought to the winery. There they are sorted and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in small oak barrels at controlled temperatures. After fermentation is complete, the powerful Avantgarde Sauvignon Blanc is aged for a few more months in 500 l oak barrels.
