More information about Avantgarde Sauvignon Blanc trocken - Bergdolt-Reif & Nett

In the glass, the Avantgarde Sauvignon Blanc from the hands of Bergdolt-Reif & Nett shows a dense pale yellow color. After the first swirl, this white wine reveals a high density and richness, which is reflected in strong church windows on the glass. The bouquet of this white wine from the Palatinate seduces with nuances of quince, grapefruit, mirabelle plum and passion fruit. Following the aromas further, mint/melissa and toasted wood emerge.

The Bergdolt-Reif & Nett Avantgarde Sauvignon Blanc presents itself wonderfully dry to the wine lover. This white wine never appears coarse or austere, but rather round and smooth. On the palate, the texture of this powerful white wine is wonderfully dense. Thanks to its pronounced acidity, the Avantgarde Sauvignon Blanc reveals itself on the palate as exceptionally fresh and lively. The finish of this youthful white wine from the Palatinate region, more precisely from Duttweiler, finally captivates with a good aftertaste. The finish is also accompanied by mineral notes from the loess and clay-dominated soils.

Vinification of the Avantgarde Sauvignon Blanc from Bergdolt-Reif & Nett

The basis for the powerful Avantgarde Sauvignon Blanc from Germany is grapes of the Sauvignon Blanc variety. In the Palatinate, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on clay and loess soils. After the grape harvest, the grapes are quickly brought to the winery. There they are sorted and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in small oak barrels at controlled temperatures. After fermentation is complete, the powerful Avantgarde Sauvignon Blanc is aged for a few more months in 500 l oak barrels.

Food recommendation for Bergdolt-Reif & Nett Avantgarde Sauvignon Blanc

This German white wine is best enjoyed well chilled at 8 - 10°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to leek tortilla, pasta with grilled sausage dumplings or wok vegetables with fish.
