The Terre di Giurfo Cerasuolo di Vittoria Maskaria delights with its elegantly dry taste profile. It was bottled with exceptionally little residual sugar. As one might expect from a wine, this Italian wine, despite its dryness, charms with the finest balance. Aroma does not necessarily require residual sugar. On the palate, this balanced red wine is characterized by an incredibly velvety texture. In the finish, this Sicilian wine impresses with a remarkable length. Again, hints of raspberry are noticeable. The aftertaste is complemented by mineral notes from the limestone-dominated soils.

Vinification of the Terre di Giurfo Cerasuolo di Vittoria Maskaria

The basis for the balanced Cerasuolo di Vittoria Maskaria from Sicily are grapes from the Frappato and Nero d'Avola varieties. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Sicily. The vines root deeply into limestone soils here. When perfect physiological ripeness is assured, the grapes for the Cerasuolo di Vittoria Maskaria are hand-harvested exclusively, without using strenuous and less selective harvesters. After manual harvest, the grapes are immediately transferred to the winery. Here, they are sorted and gently crushed. The fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. The fermentation is followed by a several months aging on fine lees before the wine is finally bottled.
