More information about Cuvéecento - Marchesi Di Montalto
The Cuvéecento from the wine-growing region of Lombardy presents itself in the glass in a bright light red. The perlage of this sparkling wine glows in the glass. On the nose, this Marchesi Di Montalto sparkling wine shows all sorts of strawberries, raspberries and blackberries. As if that were not already impressive, further aromas such as red currant are added thanks to maturation in stainless steel.
Balanced and multi-layered, this crisp, creamy and light sparkling wine presents itself on the palate. On the finish, this wine from the Lombardy wine-growing region delights with a lovely length. Once again, nuances of blackberry and raspberry appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes from the clay- and limestone-dominated soils are added.
Vinification of Marchesi Di Montalto Cuvéecento
The basis for the balanced Cuvéecento from Lombardy is grapes from the Pinot Noir variety. In Lombardy, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on clay and limestone soils. After manual harvesting, the grapes are quickly brought to the winery. There they are sorted and gently pressed. This is followed by the fermentation of the base wines. After the assemblage of the cuvée, further maturation takes place on the basis of the Méthode Traditionelle. The Marchesi Di Montalto Cuvéecento then matures in the bottle for several months and is finally disgorged.
