Fc Merlot - Pravis

The barrel-aged Fc Merlot from the Trentino-Alto Adige wine-growing region presents itself in the glass with a luminous purple red. The first nose of the Fc Merlot reveals notes of plums, sour cherries and blackberries. The fruity components of the bouquet are joined by barrel-aging notes such as lovage.

The Pravis Fc Merlot appears pleasantly dry to the wine drinker. This red wine never comes across as rough or lean, but rather round and smooth. Balanced and multi-layered, this silky, velvety and dense red wine presents itself on the palate. Vinification of the Fc Merlot from Pravis

This wine clearly focuses on a single grape variety, namely Merlot. Only first-class harvested grapes were used for this wonderfully well-balanced varietal wine from Pravis. After hand-picking, the grapes are quickly brought to the press house. There they are selected and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in small wooden barrels at controlled temperatures. After fermentation is complete, the elegant Fc Merlot is aged for several more months in oak barrels.
