More information about I Gelsi Rosé Calabria IGT - Statti
In the glass, Statti’s I Gelsi Rosé Calabria offers a brilliantly shimmering light red color. On the nose, this Statti rosé wine presents all kinds of physalis, starfruit, Galia melon, pineapple, and papaya. As if that were not already impressive, further aromas such as black tea, gingerbread spice, and cinnamon join in thanks to maturation in stainless steel.
Statti I Gelsi Rosé Calabria presents itself wonderfully dry to the connoisseur. This rosé wine never appears coarse or lean, but rather round and smooth. On the palate, the texture of this light-footed rosé is wonderfully delicate. The finish of this youthful rosé wine from the Calabria wine-growing region ultimately delights with a beautiful aftertaste.
Vinification of Statti I Gelsi Rosé Calabria
The basis for the elegant I Gelsi Rosé Calabria from Calabria is grapes from the Gaglioppo variety. After hand-picking, the grapes are brought to the winery as quickly as possible. There they are sorted and gently crushed. Fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures follows. Vinification is followed by maturation for several months on the fine lees before the wine is finally bottled. Maturation in oak barrels is followed by a considerable period of bottle aging, which makes this rosé wine even more complex.
