With this wine, the winery is once again focusing on the island's indigenous grape varieties and designations of origin. For the Is Solinas, 100% Carignano del Sulcis grapes were vinified, grown in the vineyards of the village of the same name near Cagliari, in the south of the island, where Argiolas is based. After being harvested by hand when perfectly ripe between the end of September and the beginning of October, the grapes macerate and ferment at a controlled temperature for 10 to 12 days. The must is then transferred to concrete tanks where malolactic fermentation takes place. The wine is then matured in French oak barriques for 12 months, followed by several months of ageing in the bottle.
