More information about Le Corti Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG - Sartori di Verona

The barrel-aged Le Corti Amarone della Valpolicella from the wine region of Veneto reveals itself in the glass with a dense ruby red color. When swirled in the wine glass to introduce some air, this red wine displays high viscosity, which is evident from the 'legs' on the glass rim. Poured into a red wine glass, this Italian red wine presents wonderfully complex aromas of blackberry and violet, rounded off with toasted wood contributed by the barrel aging.

On the palate, the texture of this full-bodied red wine is wonderfully velvety. Thanks to its balanced fruit acidity, Le Corti Amarone della Valpolicella caresses the palate with a soft sensation, without sacrificing freshness. The finish of this well-ageable wine from the Veneto wine region, specifically from Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG, ultimately impresses with an extraordinary aftertaste. The finish is further complemented by mineral notes from the calcareous and stony soils.

Vinification of Sartori di Verona's Le Corti Amarone della Valpolicella

The foundation of the powerful Le Corti Amarone della Valpolicella from Italy are grapes of the Trebbiano variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Veneto. The vines root deeply into calcareous and stony soils here. After ensuring optimal ripeness, the grapes for this Italian red wine are harvested exclusively by hand. Immediately after harvest, the grapes are taken to the press house, where they are carefully sorted and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks and small wooden barrels at controlled temperatures. Following fermentation, the robust Le Corti Amarone della Valpolicella is aged for several months in oak barrels made of European oak.

It is best to serve this Italian red wine at a temperature of 15 - 18°C as an accompaniment to Boeuf Bourguignon, duck breast with sugar snap peas, or vegetable couscous with beef meatballs.
