The foundation for the balanced Leonardo Chianti from Italy consists of grapes from the Sangiovese, Colorino, and Merlot varieties. After harvesting, the grapes are promptly taken to the winery. Here, they are selected and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Following the completion of fermentation, the Leonardo Chianti can harmonize further on the fine lees for several months.
