More information about Montefalco Rosso - Adanti

The Montefalco Rosso from Adanti in Umbria presents a brilliant ruby red color in the glass. Poured into a red wine glass, this red wine from Italy offers wonderfully complex aromas of plum, rounded off by further fruity nuances contributed by the barrel aging.

The Adanti Montefalco Rosso presents itself wonderfully dry to the wine lover. This red wine never appears coarse or meager, but rather round and smooth. On the palate, this light-footed red wine is characterized by an incredibly velvety texture. The finish of this red wine from the wine-growing region of Umbria delights with an exceptional aftertaste. The aftertaste is also accompanied by mineral hints from the clay-dominated soils.

Vinification of the Adanti Montefalco Rosso

The elegant Montefalco Rosso from Italy is a cuvée made from the grape varieties Sangiovese, Barbera, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Sagrantino. In Umbria, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow in clay soils. The grapes for this red wine from Italy are harvested exclusively by hand after ensuring optimal ripeness. After harvesting, the grapes are quickly transported to the press house. Here, they are sorted and gently crushed. Fermentation takes place in small wooden barrels at controlled temperatures. This fermentation is followed by aging for several months on the fine lees before the wine is finally racked.

Food Pairing for the Montefalco Rosso by Adanti

Enjoy this red wine from Italy best at a temperature of 15 - 18°C as an accompaniment to Boeuf Bourguignon, Ossobuco, or lamb ragout with chickpeas and dried figs.
