More information about Sauvignon Blanc Castel Ringberg DOC - Elena Walch

In the glass, the Sauvignon Blanc Castel Ringberg from Elena Walch shows a bright, light yellow color. After the first swirl, this white wine reveals a first-class balance, as it does not appear watery, syrupy, or liqueur-like on the sides of the glass. In the glass, this white wine from Elena Walch presents aromas of Galia melon, gooseberries, papayas, guavas, and honeysuckle, complemented by garrigue, green bell pepper, and lovage. This Italian wine delights with its elegantly dry taste profile. It was bottled with 3.9 grams of residual sugar. As you would expect from a wine of this renown, this Italian charmer, despite all its dryness, captivates with the finest balance. Excellent flavor simply does not necessarily require sugar. Thanks to its lively acidity, the Sauvignon Blanc Castel Ringberg appears exceptionally fresh and vibrant on the palate. On the finish, this well-age-worthy white wine from the Trentino-Alto Adige winegrowing region finally impresses with considerable length. Hints of honeysuckle and white currant appear again. In the aftertaste, mineral notes from the clay- and limestone-dominated soils join in.

Vinification of the Sauvignon Blanc Castel Ringberg by Elena Walch

This well-balanced white wine from Italy is made from the Sauvignon Blanc grape variety. In Trentino-Alto Adige, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on clay and limestone soils. After harvesting, the grapes are brought to the press house as quickly as possible. There they are selected and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks and small wooden casks at controlled temperatures. After it is complete, the Sauvignon Blanc Castel Ringberg can continue to harmonize for several months on the fine lees.

Food recommendation for Elena Walch Sauvignon Blanc Castel Ringberg

This white wine from Italy is best enjoyed moderately chilled at 11–13°C. It is a perfect companion to pasta with fried sausage dumplings, chickpea curry, or leek tortilla.
